Delete Your Cosmic Draft Account and Data

• Open Cosmic Draft and go to the main menu.
• Open Settings.
• Tap Delete Account and confirm.
• Deletion happens there and then. The game tells you on screen when it is done, and tells you if any part of it could not be removed.
• Delete Account is available from the main menu only. During a run it is switched off on purpose: finishing a run writes progress, and progress written after a deletion would land in the wrong place. Finish or leave your run first.

If the game is no longer on your device, or you cannot reach the in-game option, we will delete your data for you.

• So that we can find the right record, tell us the player name shown on the leaderboard and the Google account or Play Games gamer name you signed in with.
• We reply within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying the request.

• What — When
• Your cloud save — progress, currencies, unlocks, personal bests — Immediately, in the game. Within 30 days, by email.
• Your leaderboard entry — display name, score, level, run count — Same
• Your account on our servers — Same
• The progress stored on the device you delete from — Immediately, when you delete from inside the game
• Backup copies — We keep none. Once your save is deleted from our database it is gone from our systems.
• Deleting your account destroys any unspent emeralds and energy, including any you paid for. This cannot be undone, and we cannot refund it — purchases are handled by Google Play or the App Store, not by us.
• Remove Ads is the exception. It belongs to your Google Play or Apple account rather than to your Cosmic Draft account, so deleting your account does not revoke it. Reinstall the game and it is restored.

Some things belong to Google or Apple rather than to us, and deleting your Cosmic Draft account does not touch them:

• Google Play Games achievements and your Play Games profile. Manage those from your Google account at myaccount.google.com.
• Google Play or Apple purchase records. They keep these for billing and tax.
• Anonymous, aggregated analytics that is not linked to your account and cannot be traced back to you.

Removing the app takes the copy off your phone. It does not remove your cloud save or your leaderboard entry, because those live on our servers — that is the whole reason your progress survives a reinstall. Use one of the two routes above instead.

The game creates an anonymous account for you on first launch so that your progress can be saved, so there is something to delete even if you never signed in with Google Play Games. No leaderboard entry was ever published for you, and the in-game Delete Account option removes the cloud save the same way.

The email route cannot help you if you never signed in. Without a Play Games display name or a Google account there is nothing for us to match your save against — the account is anonymous by design, which is the same reason we cannot identify you from an email. Use the in-game Delete Account button; it needs none of that information, and it is immediate.

For the same reason, if you signed in to a different Google account on this device at some point, the save left behind by the earlier one is not reachable from the account you are signed in to now — not by you and not by us. Deleting from inside the game removes the account you are currently signed in to. We are working on the rest.

We do not currently delete accounts for inactivity. If we introduce an inactivity period we will say so in the Privacy Policy, and give notice before the first deletion.

The same explanation is inside the game, under Settings › Data Deletion, and it works with no connection at all. This page exists because Google Play and the App Store require an address that anyone can open without installing the game.
